Module 1: Stroke Support Organisations (SSOs)
In Module 1, using a combination of theory and practice, we explore what Stroke Support Organisations (SSOs) are; how they are founded and what common principles they share, showing positive examples from around Europe.
You will develop an understanding of the role SSOs play in the health system; their objectives; and the types of activities, such as networking, they must engage in to achieve their goals.
This will help you to consider the people, resources and skills required to set up or grow a Stroke Support Organisation within your own country and context. At the end of each sub-module, you can test your knowledge with a simple activity or questionnaire.
